2 Years Old and Baptised

I must extended a very special thank you to all who made Zoey's Birthday and Ethan's Baptism a huge success. I felt as though I barely had any part of the planning and I was so gracious that everyone pitched in make it a truly warm and wonderful event. First and foremost I have to thank my Mother and Jim. They graciously allow us to use their home for parties, since our space cannot accommodate large groups. I know that is a lot of work to prep the home and yard AND FOOD, for a group of people to enjoy, and no words can express my gratefulness. I'm sure there will be a fresh, healthy and yummy dinner thrown at our home for Mom and Jim in the near future.
The backyard and the great weather made a perfect playground for the children and adults.

Grandma taught Zoey to use these fun water guns.

Liam and Sophia enjoyed these water guns too! These two don't see each other often and I though it was sweet to see them getting along so well.

Auntie Michelle and Uncle Jon surprised us all with the fantastical Pingu birthday cake.

It was very unexpected, especially since Auntie Michelle is nearly ready to give birth to my first niece very soon! I know a lot of work and love was put into that Cake. That's why Zoey's Pingu Birthday cake was as touching as it was beautiful. Pingu will now forever be a staple of Zoeys 2nd year, after being commemorated by one of their creative and yummy cakes. Thank you for that. And thank you for making the cupcakes that everyone got to enjoy. Zoey asks for cupcakes everyday now!

The baptism was private and held in the same charming chapel where Zoey was baptised.  Ethan woke happy in the morning.

Then again, Ethan is ALWAYS happy and smiling. I do hope he never loses that quality as life goes on. Family gathered at the chapel and Aunt Katie took pictures.
When we arrived, everyone was playing up in the balcony.

Uncle Jon and Aunt Michelle are Ethan's God Parents. They stood with us while Ethan was bathed in blessed water by Deacon John Frend.  I was a proud Mama and the ceremony was fun.

Later, at the party, Ethan hung around in his cousin Kyles hat. It was precious and I'm sure E's future wife will love this picture.

The afternoon was filled with swimming, croquet, volleyball, chatting and stuffing our faces!

All the family brought gifts for the children, and since opening them, each one has become a favorite. The clothes, crafts, toys, entertainment and money are all being put to great use and the kids couldn't be enjoying them more. Now that Ethan is sitting up on his own, he's taking great pleasure in being able to marvel in these gifts. He is always entertaining himself. Thanks again to all our family for coming out and enjoying this occasion with us.
